MDCUSA Partners with Renogy to Deliver Rugged Hi-tech Off-grid Camping Solutions to the North American Market.
Australian extreme off-road camper manufacturer, MDCUSA, is partnering in the USA with Renogy to provide expansive off-grid energy solutions for the company’s off-grid camper product line. MDC has served the Australian market for several decades, proving the company’s ability to deliver camping trailers that meet the uncompromising demands of Australia’s extreme environment.
After many years of experience using Renogy products in the Australian environment MDCUSA, the second-largest RV manufacturer in Australia, is now bringing its extreme off-road camper experience to enthusiasts in North America. “We wanted to select a supplier that could provide the complete power system, that has a well-known brand name in the USA and has a proven track record”, said Sam Moorhouse, Marketing Manager at MDC Camper Trailers & Caravans.
Moorhouse explained why Renogy is the brand chosen for all off-grid power solutions found in its extreme off-road campers.
“We wanted to select a supplier that could provide the complete power system, that has a well-known brand name in the USA and has a proven track record,” said Moorhouse.
The MDC Robson XTT is an exciting example of the company’s focus on extreme off-road camping that’s powered by off-grid systems provided by Renogy. While the MDC Robson XTT is a “pop-up” camper with heavy-duty upper walls, it is designed for the true extremes of off-road overland adventures in Australia. Every component has to pass MDC’s grade for off-grid living and travel in the toughest environments.
Renogy contributes to the complete solar living system for the two XTT models. This system includes the Renogy 300Ah lithium battery with an “intelligent” self-heating function. The electric system also includes Renogy’s 12V, 30A DC-DC on-board battery charger, a 200W solar panel, a 30A combination solar charge controller, a REGO 150A Smart Battery Charger, a Rego 3000W 12V pure sine wave HF inverter, song with the control panel.
Growth in the USA is a continuing goal for MDCUSA, which currently sells its campers exclusively through its own MDC showrooms. The company currently has eleven active store locations in North America and has recently released seven new camper models.
