Dealer Techs Energize Renogy’s Ambassador Program with Real-World Product Testing
This hands-on initiative allows expert RV staff to trial Renogy products before launch – delivering authentic feedback that strengthens product quality, dealer expertise, and consumer confidence.
ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA – Renogy’s Dealer Ambassador Program is revolutionizing how new products are field tested by empowering RV dealers and technicians who are also avid campers to provide authentic feedback. The initial response to the program has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the expertise and enthusiasm of applicants dedicated to advancing RV power solutions and customer satisfaction.
“I sell, install, and already use Renogy products. I can always sell products that I have used myself much easier. My clients trust my judgment. I would like to be a part of this to better promote Renogy products to my customers,” says Daren Donszelmann of Northern Auto Electric, British Columbia, Canada. His comment reflects the value of having firsthand experience in product recommendations, benefiting both dealers and consumers through credibility and certainty.
Other techs, such as Marco Sonnessa, stressed the importance of quality and environmental testing. He says, “The market is already flooded with cheap junk from abroad. Quality products tested for the Canadian environment must be certified to meet different expectations. I test my solutions from -40°C to +40°C.” By involving experts familiar with demanding real-world conditions, the program ensures that Renogy’s solutions meet high standards and that product reliability is proven before public release.
For shop foreman Erich Kress at Alpin Haus in Amsterdam, New York, staying current with rapidly changing technology is essential. Kress explains, “Solar is becoming much more popular in the Northeast. I see how solar can benefit our customers greatly, especially with the increase in 12-volt refrigerator popularity. We have worked on several Renogy systems in Class C motorhomes, and I really like the information available on the displays. The complete Renogy systems I’ve worked on were designed to be cleanly installed. I plan to start traveling more each year and have a month-long trip planned this winter or spring. I am hopeful that partnering together could be beneficial to both.” Kress’s hands-on testing supports Renogy’s goal of refining products for actual use, making every installation easier and more dependable.
At another Aplin Haus location in Saratoga, New York, foreman and electrician Robert Vanderminden says being an early tester will help him “work directly with our parts team, advisors, and teach our techs about product knowledge and installs.”
Dealers like Billy Taylor at Bob Hurley RV in Oklahoma also link product testing to improved customer education. He says, “It helps me sell and educate customers on what the system can and cannot do. It would help my customers make better decisions when getting their coach set up the way they want it.” This demonstrates how the program benefits consumers, allowing them to trust recommendations and ensuring that their systems are tailored to real needs rather than theoretical specifications.
By engaging ambassadors who live out the RV lifestyle and interact directly with end-users, Renogy’s program is a win-win for dealers and consumers alike. Dealers gain exclusive early access and deep product knowledge, while consumers get solutions that have been thoroughly vetted by professionals who care about quality, safety, and innovation. The result is a stronger, more informed RV community – supported by real experience and a commitment to continual improvement.
